CJIS
CJIS, or the Criminal Justice Information Services Division, is a division within the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the United States. The CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) Security Policy establishes and enforces rigorous security standards to protect sensitive criminal justice information. It ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data, including criminal records and fingerprints, by setting comprehensive security requirements for law enforcement agencies at all levels. This policy promotes trust, interoperability, and compliance with federal and state regulations, enhancing data protection and the effectiveness of the criminal justice system by providing a common framework for secure information handling.
Salesforce Government Cloud Plus has completed an independent security assessment on all the requirements outlined in the Security Policy version 5.9.1 (dated 10/1/2022) demonstrating that the controls implemented properly safeguard Criminal Justice Information (CJI).
