The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is a regional economic forum established in 1989, aimed at increasing prosperity for the region by promoting balanced, inclusive, sustainable, innovative and secure growth and accelerating regional economic integration. As part of this Cooperation, the APEC Privacy Framework was adopted.
